The Practice Enneagram Clinical Integration Cohort for Therapists and Coaches
An 8-Month Professional Learning Experience
Insight Does Not Automatically Create Change
Many clients understand their patterns, and still repeat them….
✓ They can name their Enneagram type.
✓ They recognize their reactions.
✓ They see the relational dynamics.
And yet the same concerns continue organizing their decisions, relationships, and attention… but why?
Because personality patterns are not simply habits. They are stories the nervous system learned to live inside.
Stories about safety. Stories about belonging. Stories about what must happen – or must be avoided – in order to stay connected. Understanding those stories is where meaningful change begins.
The Enneagram: Narrative Therapy in Action
At its core, the Enneagram is not simply a personality model. It is a map of the narrative structures that shape attention, identity, and adaptation.
Each type reflects a pattern of questions the person is trying to answer:
What do I have to be in order to belong?
What must I avoid in order to stay safe?
What feels most threatening or most important?
In this sense, the Enneagram operates much like narrative therapy: It reveals the storyline organizing a person’s experience.
When clinicians learn to listen for those storylines, patterns become easier to understand – and easier to soften.
A Cohort for Practitioners Who Want to Go Deeper
The Practice: Enneagram Clinical Integration Cohort is designed for therapists, coaches, and practitioners who want to move beyond personality descriptions and into real clinical application.
This is not a typing workshop. This is a consultation-based learning space focused on applying the Enneagram to real client work.
Together we will explore how to:
• Recognize attention patterns in session
• Identify the emotional concerns shaping client behavior
• Understand the adaptive strategies behind personality structures
• Listen for narrative themes that maintain patterns
• Work with resistance, shame, and defensive strategies
• Use the Enneagram ethically and thoughtfully in practice
Who This Cohort IS Designed For:
• Licensed therapists and associates
• Coaches integrating the Enneagram into client work
• Practitioners interested in attention-based personality frameworks
• Professionals seeking deeper Enneagram-informed case formulation
Participants should have:
• Basic familiarity with the Enneagram
• An active client caseload
• Interest in applying the Enneagram within therapeutic conversations
What We Will Explore Together
Over eight months, we will examine how Enneagram patterns show up in real clinical work.
Topics include:
Attention & Pattern Recognition: How personality organizes what clients track, prioritize, and filter out.
Motivation & Emotional Concerns: Understanding the deeper concerns shaping client decisions and behavior.
Adaptive Strategies: How personality develops as a strategy for connection and protection.
Relational Dynamics: How Enneagram patterns influence conflict, attachment, and communication.
Narrative Themes: Listening for the storylines that maintain familiar patterns.
Therapist System Awareness: Using countertransference and practitioner reactions as meaningful clinical information.
